Phoenix Arizona

Phoenix is one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States and is widely considered a hub for technology and software companies. In fact, the capital city is home to the largest number of technology companies in North America. Downtown Phoenix serves as a center of local, state, and federal government and is home to many of Arizona's most important events.

If you want to see areas outside of the Phoenix metropolitan area, you can visit Tucson, Las Vegas, or San Diego. Also, the drive to Sedona is the most scenic ride in Arizona and one of the most beautiful in the United States.

Phoenix is known for its Spanish colonial architecture and towering buildings all throughout the city. Some popular city destinations include the Phoenix Art Museum, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, the Children's Museum of Phoenix, the Arizona Science Center, and many more. The Phoenix Art Museum was designed by Alden B. Dow, a student of famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and opened in 1959.

One of the popular venues in the city is the Phoenix Symphony Hall, where concerts by the Arizona Symphony Orchestra and other local and national bands and musicians are frequently held. There are many Native American ruins in Phoenix and the rest of the state, so be sure to go there to learn more about the area.

To the north, South Mountain Regional Park borders an upscale neighborhood in Phoenix. Papago Park, named after the Parrot Indians, is the largest park in Arizona and one of the oldest parks in the United States.

Due to its mild climate, Phoenix has ranked among the nation's top tourist destinations for five-star resorts. In fact, Greater Phoenix has more than 16 million visitors per year. Of course golf is a big draw for the city, with more than 200 golf courses throughout the town. And visitors love to check out the Phoenix Zoo, the Phoenix Botanical Gardens, and South Mountain Park, the highest desert mountain preserve in the world.

Phoenix is home to a few professional sports teams, including the Arizona Cardinals (NFL), the Phoenix Suns (NBA), the Arizona Diamondbacks (MLB), and the Phoenix Mercury (WNBA), among others.
